ADH4000-04: Automatic Drainage, Clean Air Supply! Heavy-Duty Float-Type Drain Valve Ensures Pneumatic System Stability
2025-12-19
In compressed air systems, liquid impurities such as condensate and oil are the main culprits behind equipment corrosion, component failure, and product contamination. The ADH4000-04 is a heavy-duty float-type automatic drain valve. With its features of requiring no power supply, automatic drainage, reliability, and durability, it continuously removes accumulated liquid from air tanks, filters, and dryers, providing clean, dry air for pneumatic systems.Core Product Advantages
- Automatic, Power-Free Drainage Features a float-type design that operates without an electrical power supply and does not waste compressed air. It automatically discharges condensate based on liquid accumulation, offering simple and reliable operation.
- Heavy-Duty, Durable Design Part of the heavy-duty automatic drain valve series, it is reliable and durable. Suitable for use with contaminated water, unaffected by backpressure, and ideal for centralized drainage applications.
- Large Discharge Capacity for Efficient Drainage Maximum drainage capacity of 400 cc/min (at 0.7 MPa, with water), meeting the needs of high-drainage-demand application scenarios.
- Easy Maintenance and Management Maintenance can be performed without removing piping. Equipped with a built-in manual switch, it is easy to operate and maintain, resulting in low maintenance costs.
- No Backpressure Risk Float-type automatic operation with a normally open valve, eliminating backpressure risks, facilitating operation and maintenance.

Operating PrincipleThe automatic drain valve uses an internal float mechanism. When there is no condensate in the housing, the pilot valve is closed by the weight of the float and the lever action, and the drain valve assembly is closed under air pressure. When the condensate level rises to a certain height, the float rises, opening the pilot valve via the lever. This allows air pressure to enter the upper chamber of the diaphragm, forcing the drain valve assembly open. The condensate in the body is then blown out of the OUT port by air pressure. As drainage completes, the float descends, the pilot valve recloses, finishing one drainage cycle.Typical Application Scenarios
- Bottom of Air Receivers (Air Tanks): Periodically drains condensate to prevent corrosion and contamination.
- Downstream of Filters and Dryers: Timely discharges separated oil-water mixtures to maintain air quality.
- Air Preparation Units (FRL): Serves as the drainage component, integrated after the filter-regulator.
- Low Points in Piping, Oil-Water Separators, Tanks, and Various Filter Bottoms: Automatically discharges condensate, preventing forgotten manual drainage that could lead to recontamination of compressed air by condensate.
In SummaryThe ADH4000-04 Heavy-Duty Automatic Drain Valve is the “cleaning guardian” for compressed air systems. It perfectly combines power-free operation, automatic drainage, reliable durability, and easy maintenance. Utilizing a float-type design for automatic condensate discharge, it ensures a clean and stable air supply for pneumatic systems.Choosing the ADH4000-04 means choosing an intelligent and reliable air supply maintenance solution, providing continuous protection for your clean pneumatic system!
