Higher pressure translates directly into shorter cycle times on smaller cylinders. Festo offers a concrete comparison: with a 25 mm piston diameter, 160 mm stroke, and 350 mm tube length, the VUVG advances 88% faster than conventional valves at 10 bar. The cartridge also enables separated two-pressure operation without overlapping air ducts, so two different pressures can be controlled from a single valve without the complex external plumbing of stacked valves.

A Structure Built for Compact Installation

The VUVG’s aluminum housing is light and rugged, and its small size and low weight allow direct mounting on robot arms — eliminating long tubing runs and adapters. Two 3/2-way valves can share one housing to drive two single-acting cylinders, cutting installation space roughly in half with no adapters or mounting attachments required.

Axial mounting bores allow series assembly without dedicated manifold strips, so a manifold can be built up from a single valve; separating plates create multiple pressure zones to serve different stations on one line with different pressure demands. Integrated LEDs provide 360° status visibility, so operators can read valve state at a glance regardless of mounting orientation or wiring direction.

Serviceability is equally strong: the valve’s electrical section swaps in a one-click action, keeping the same housing and pneumatic circuit while changing connections. M8 connectors and stranded-wire variants cover different wiring preferences.

The VUVG series spans 10, 14, and 18 mm valve widths with flow rates from roughly 100 to 1,380 l/min, letting users match cylinder size and cycle demands flexibly.
